A Suite November Collaboration Wrap Up

November was quite the event in itself and now that it’s over with a little room to breathe… here is a recap.
We spent the month pushing the Panther Pantry food drive, then the day before Small Business Saturday, I went in and moved the office all sorts of everywhere.. getting tables set up, raffle baskets in place, making sure the hot drink station was ready for being filled in the morning, getting Buddy the Elf in place. We all knew the weather was going to be “not great”, but we kept going anyway. It felt like it took forever. It really didn’t, but still felt that way (and honestly came with a few “why am I even doing this” feelings 😅 - but still did it).
Of course on Small Business Saturday, I woke up later than I intended - texted Keara, and then kinda relieved to know it wasn’t just me. Keara jumped in on the A frame chalk boards that I had painted the night before, making them super fun and catchy. She has the best handwriting out of the three of us. If any signage needs to be handwritten.. we all know who’s doing it, lol. The weather was GROSS. Raining, cold, windy at times. So we at least knew it would be slow initially for foot traffic. Karen ended up with an emergency session in the middle of all the things. Luckily the client definitely did not care at all that people were walking in and out of the building, only that they were going to leave feeling much better. The Knob Noster Chamber of Commerce brought Santa around and introduced him to all the business owners and we of course got a group picture with Buddy the Elf (yes… we totally pulled Karen out of her session for 60 seconds to get this picture). Traffic in and out was slow (no surprise- I wouldn’t want to muck around in that either), but they still enjoyed hot cocoa, marshmallows, peppermints, warm apple cider, and raffles with for real no strings attached. Eventually the rain stopped, and it picked up a little. One of my friends brought a load of kid friendly pantry items for the school, and the before we knew it, it was almost over. Streets closed at 3pm, Small Business Saturday was over at 4pm, then clean up time.
The office was put back the way it is supposed to be, and out we went. We had a small day of recouping, then Monday, December came in screaming “I’m here!”. Headed out to help Karen shovel the front of the suites, but she’s quick, lol, and it was done before I even got there. With the chore part out of the way, we went ahead and pulled the raffle winners from each box. A huge congratulations to Jenni, who landed both baskets, and to Becky for winning the big prize of two gift certificates! One from me and one from Keara. Maybe she will share… and maybe not.
After all is said and done…exhausting or not.. I will still do it again 😂. Next up… the Annual Cookie Stroll..
I hope everyone had an awesome weekend and stayed safe on Monday, when December decided to make its entrance KNOWN. I do still have some of these super cute gift tins, so if you missed Saturday, just reach out. There will also be another open studio / office on December 24th for a few hours. If you are a click and go person.. digital gift cards are always available on the website (no cute tin though). Snag those right here: https://www.jamielmt.com/gift-cards
Until next time! Take care / drink water / make good choices. - Jamie
